*This is an energetic portrait of my favorite musician, Tori Amos. This energy was very fun and charismatic, it felt very much like a fairy tail. I began with the bright pink feminine image in the middle of the painting and then painted the gray horseshoe around it, protecting it. Inside the horseshoe the energy made sure that I kept the space balanced, this was very important. What is interesting to me is the amount of movement and color in the horseshoe, resulting in a very delicate balance. The bottom landscape has the feel of the ocean with waves and bubbles, bringing in emotion to this portrait. The energy had a lot of fun communicating with me and wanted me to keep painting even after I was finished, but I ran out of canvas.
